VML and European Union wrap up the year musically in Mozambique
Antwerp/Maputo – 20 December 2025

After previous editions in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Chili, and Colombia, VML is concluding the first international campaign wave of 'I've got the power' for the European Union in Mozambique.
For this final chapter of 2025, the agency collaborated with Laylizzy, an influential voice in the African hip-hop scene. He was awarded for the best hip-hop track at the Mozambique Music Awards and named winner of Newcomers Delight by South African HYPE Magazine. CNN African Voices called him a groundbreaking artist who is putting Mozambican hip-hop on the global map.
Furthermore, Laylizzy is also – and above all – a proud resident of Mozambique who wants to contribute to a positive future for his country. This aligns perfectly with the campaign's objective. In the music video, filmed in Maputo, Laylizzy delivers a powerful reinterpretation of the Snap! classic, intertwined with images of ordinary Mozambicans who are building their future thanks to renewable energy.
The campaign was launched via Laylizzy's own channels and is part of a broader social media rollout in Mozambique. Due to the enthusiasm of both the public and artists in the participating countries, VML and the European Union are already looking ahead to 2026. The campaign demonstrated how music and social themes can naturally blend. A follow-up therefore seems certainly not out of the question.
