BASE and VML inspire the Plantrekkers Generation with Stories by BASE

Stories by BASE ​ is the name of the new content platform launched by VML for BASE in early April. The content approach includes mini-documentaries, social media assets and a brand-new blog celebrating inspiring individuals.

Spotlight on the Plantrekkers Generation

At the heart of this strategy is a series of inspiring YouTube mini-documentaries about real plantrekkers, a Dutch word for self-reliant individuals who chart their own course.

Bas Van Hoof (DOP) shot the mini-documentaries, with VML handling the editorial and production. Each story is supported by blog articles offering more background on the featured ‘plantrekker’, along with (commercial) social formats designed to inspire and engage the BASE community.

Engaging content

More inspiration to come

The first Story by BASE features Grégoire Valoteau, a designer and illustrator from Brussels. The second focuses on digital nomad Roxanne Wellens. Upcoming stories will include a BX Brussels footballer and an upcycling stylist, among others.
